I’m Shea
Greetings, Bienvenidos, Namaste, Salaam, Shalom. I’m a fellow being here on planet earth. I’ve worn a bunch of different hats in life so far, including desert monastery dweller, tropical farmer, old forest walker, outdoor guide, and even Istanbul nightlife explorer. In this chapter, life has brought me back to the US, where I was raised, and Good Body came to life so I could offer some really good things I’ve learned along the way.
I’ve been grateful for each chapter in life I’ve had so far, and I’ve found the past 8 years especially helpful studying Ayurveda and Yoga. The practices have helped me to find a deep sense of grounding and peace in day-to-day living, and I’m glad to say that these days I feel more at home in my body than ever before.
I’m currently offering to share what I have learned so that you, too, can find greater ease and flow in your good body. I really do believe that when we are good to our bodies, life opens up in a beautiful new way.
Education background
Today there is a wide variety of health modalities available, including a diverse lineage of Yogis and Vedic practitioners. I have completed a 200-hour Yoga teacher training with Kindness Yoga in Denver, CO, and a 600-hour Ayurvedic health counselor training with Myra Lewin at Hale Pule Ayurveda & Yoga. I lived and studied with the Hale Pule community on Kaua’i and New Zealand for 3 years, witnessing profound shifts in students who came through the programs. I continue to study & practice regularly, so that I may provide the best opportunity for clarity and guidance.
Scope of practice
The consultations I offer are intended to provide ways to be well in your life by reconnecting with nature. I am not a state-regulated medical professional, and these services can be considered as complementary and alternative. Please discuss any recommendations or concerns with your primary care physician.
The bodywork is offered for calming and regulating the energetic systems in the body. I am not currently a licensed massage therapist providing deep-tissue muscle massage. (But coming soon hopefully!)
